Carl B.
Zacharia is the managing attorney for Zacharia & Brown with
offices in McKeesport and Bethel Park . Carl is licensed to practice law in
both the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as well as the State of Florida. He is
also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court Western District of
Pennsylvania, U.S. Court of Appeals 3rd Circuit, the United States Supreme
Court, the U.S. Court of Federal Claims and the United States Circuit Court
of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. He received his undergraduate degree
from Washington and Jefferson College and his law degree from Duquesne
University School of Law, where he was a published member of the Duquesne
Law Review and where he served as an associate recent decisions editor. He
is an extensive and frequent lecturer on estate planning and elder law
topics. Carl also teaches on the subjects of Elder Law and Estate Planning
at Community College of Allegheny County.
His practice focuses on assisting families deal with the
legal and financial issues associated with the costs of long term and
nursing home care.
Christine Brown
Murphy
is a partner of Zacharia & Brown. Christine is admitted to practice in the
Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and before the Pennsylvania Supreme Court as
well as before the U.S. District Court for the Western District of
Pennsylvania. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of
Pittsburgh and her law degree from Duquesne University Law School, where she
was a member of the Women's Law Association, as well as Secretary of the
Health Care Law Society from which Christine received the Distinguished
Service Award. Prior to joining Zacharia & Brown, Christine worked for a
Pittsburgh law firm practicing corporate defense law. Christine is an
extensive and frequent lecturer on estate planning and elder law topics.
Mark
Z. Zacharia is a partner of Zacharia & Brown. Mark is admitted to practice
in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and before the Pennsylvania Supreme
Court as well as before the U.S. District Court for the Western District of
Pennsylvania. He received his undergraduate degree from the Duquesne
University School of Business and his law degree from Duquesne University
Law School. Prior to joining Zacharia and Brown Mark represented
various local county health and human services agencies as an assistant
county solicitor. Mark’s has experience in guardianships, regulatory
compliance and governmental services as well as appearing in front of
administrative, trial and appeal courts. Mark also brings to the firm
his experience in the area of health care, having worked as the director of
risk management for both inpatient and outpatient services for one of the
nations leading hospitals. Mark too, is an extensive and frequent
lecturer on estate planning and elder law topics.
