About James

James is an associate attorney at Zacharia Brown, counseling clients in estate and asset protection planning, Medicaid eligibility for long term care, Veterans’ benefits eligibility, and probate.

He graduated Summa Cum Laude with a B.A. in politics from the Catholic University of America, and received his law degree from Duquesne University School of Law, where he served as student manager for the Wills and Healthcare Decisions Clinic and was the recipient of the CALI award for excellence in the areas of Torts, Constitutional Law, and Pretrial Civil Litigation.

James was also honored with the Distinguished Student Award at Duquesne for having displayed general scholastic excellence and having performed meritorious service to the School of Law. James is admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and he is a member of both the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA) and Pennsylvania Association of Elder Law Attorneys (PAELA).

James conducts presentations and educational seminars on elder law topics to area professionals and community organizations throughout Pittsburgh and its surrounding areas, and can be heard broadcasting for Pittsburgh Elder Law on KDKA NewsTalk 1020 AM on the second and fourth Saturdays of each month at 12:00 noon.

James was raised in Elizabeth Township and lives with his wife, Annie in Belle Vernon,
